Addict is setup by default to load AutoCorrect.adu (this is shipped with Addict) as well as setup your user's custom dictionaries. With this setup, the large initial collection of auto-corrections is both available to the user, but also isn't crowding those auto-corrections that users may add themselves by means of the spelling dialog of live-spelling menu.
So, each user shouldn't be required to enter any auto-corrections themselves, but each collects those that they create in their own dictionary by default.
Thanks - for some reason I had the autocorrect adu files there but they were 1K instead of the 54K and 31K as distro. Maybe they had been missing when I first deployed and then created as empty when first initialised? Anyway - I replaced them with the correct ones and it works OK - but I suppose that I need the next version to actually inspect the contents of these pairs - yes? Alan

The contents of Autocorrect.adu can be examined at runtime throught the setup - or if you have the PlusPack you can use the Custom Dictionary Editor....
I can examine the pairs I add manually in the setup dialog. But I cannot see the pairs in autocorrect.adu. How do you do that? The dialog does not allow selection of autocorrect, only username.adu as the custom dictionary.

Assuming running Addict 4 App:
Go to Spelling Options, choose Language - In Additional Dictionaries you should see autocorrect.adu - select it - and click edit button - and a new window should pop up
Interesting. There is no indication that you can open the autocorrect.adu file. I can tick the box and I can highlight it. But there is no Edit button. But if I double click it, sure enough I get another dialog with the pairs listed as well as Adds and Exclusions listed and editable. Should there be an edit button? I would never have guessed it editable. Alan
and sdcConfigEditDictionaryButton is set to False for some reason. No way I did that on purpose. It's the default to have it not visible - why?. but there you go. It's all OK now that I've set it to true enabled and true visible. Alan
